Who we are
Dino Lizard Games is an independent games studio based in the United Kingdom. This policy covers our website and our games. If you have any question about it, email support@dinolizardgames.com.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as your IP address so it can deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
Light Bender
What stays on your device
Your progress, stars, in-game currencies, items and settings are saved on your device. They aren't sent to us. Deleting the game deletes them.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Light Bender shows ads provided by Google AdMob: ads between levels, and optional ads you can choose to watch for a reward. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect:
- your device's advertising identifier, only if you're 18 or over and allow tracking;
- an identifier for apps from the same developer on your device;
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate your approximate location;
- information about your device, and the ads you see and tap;
- diagnostic information, such as crashes and performance.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Google explains how it uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices about ads
- Tracking: if you're 18 or over, the game asks whether it may track you before personalised ads are used. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent: if you're 16 or over and in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before Google uses your data for ads. Where this applies, you can change your choice in the game's Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Remove Ads: buying Remove Ads stops the ads between levels. Ads you choose to watch for a reward stay available and optional.
- Google: you can manage how Google personalises ads in My Ad Center.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The game receives confirmation of what you bought so it can deliver it. We never receive your name, Apple Account details or payment information.
Players of all ages
Light Bender is for everyone. The first time you open it, it asks for your date of birth. It keeps only your age group (under 13, 13 to 15, 16 to 17, or 18 and over) on your device, and never sends your date of birth anywhere.
- Under 18: ads aren't personalised, Google is told to apply its protections for children or teenagers, your device's advertising identifier isn't shared, and you won't be asked about tracking.
- Under 16: Google is also told you're under the age of consent for data protection in the UK and EU.
- Everyone: ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent and have a question, email us.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including to access it, correct it and have it deleted. We don't hold personal data about players, so for data used for ads, Google's tools above are the quickest route. You're welcome to contact us at any time, and you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If our games start handling data differently, for example by adding accounts, we'll update this policy first and change the date at the top.
